Back on the Rooftop!
The roofers returned bright and early this morning to finish the new roof! We had to go out and move all the cars (four) from the driveway so they could get started. They covered the front of the house with tarps before starting to scrape the old shingles. I had to go out this morning and by the time we were ready to leave, they had just began to start hammering the new shingles on. Because of the debris all around, getting out of the house was a challenge, but it was good to get outside. Before getting into the car I took a couple of shots of the work in progress. By the time we returned, it was completed.
I went for blood work and the yucky stuff I have to drink before the ct-scan on Friday. Yay, I get to go for that lovely long drive again. While there, we stopped by the old house to pay a visit to our old neighbors who bought the house from me. They have been renovating since October and have finally moved in on New Year's day. They have transformed a tired old house into the 21st century and have really made it there own. I was so happy to see the blend of the old that I loved along with the new things I wish I could have done if I had stayed. This house will be a happy home for many more years to come.
Today was positively springlike. Tomorrow, I must do errands and grocery shop! Maybe. It's only Monday...
