It's been a good day for the Rose Ness

As Elvis Costello very nearly sang. This is the lighthouse at Rose Ness, south Mainland Orkney. It is one of the wee, squat type that don't get photographed as much as their big brothers. And no wonder.

It looks cloudy but it was a pretty sunny day compared to earlier in the week.
Hope it's good tomorrow as I'm off to Stronsay. I've set the alarm for 5.00am!
