"Guys, it will be" ...

... 44deg.C today!!! - I tell you - it will be! ..

...And down under the cool of the old Olive tree roots this morning, near the river, there was quite a gathering of these galahs and magpies, trying to keep cool..

...The two magpies in the foreground had just had a donnybrook as to who was going to occupy that little space on the right, amongst the olive tree root, which was like a little house in there and it must have been a little cooler for them..

...I saw them rolling around in there and all I could see for a moment was the back ends of them and a blur of feathers, then they came out of there and that is what you see here..a telling off - and also hot maggies and hot galahs..

...They'll sort it all out I'm sure, and there's plenty of water for them right there..

...Yes, John tells me it's now 44.5deg.C, supposed to be hotter elsewhere...

...The air conditioner is really cool today...!
