Rusty bike carrier

Do you remember when all bikes had these useful additions. The guard caught the mud, and the spring carrier was good for carrying stuff eg lunch, swim gear etc.

I am told modern bikes have no mud guards as they can get jammed up and full of mud. Cross country, rivers and puddles now seems the order of the day. Modern bikes also create rooster tails of mud up the back of the rider.

I have slightly posterised the image which made it (a bit ) more interesting.
