St Mary's Chapel
Today the Old Geezers did a 6 mile walk starting (and finishing) at the Crooked Billet pub near Saxton.
At the start of our walk was St Mary's Church, Lead. This is a redundant Anglican chapel standing close to the site of the battle of Towton (1461, Wars of the Roses).
The blip is the inside of the door.
The Crooked Billet does very fine coffee and cake (my alcohol-free status is intact) with a discount for walkers :)
