Kate's Wood

Kate's Wood is a well-known wood in Northmuir, Kirriemuir. "Kate" is reputed to have been an unfortunate woman accused of Witchcraft who was burned somewhere in the vicinity. It is said that,to this day, the spot where this happened is devoid of vegetation.
