I was standing on the cleared site of Thompson's Mill for this picture. Three years and one day ago, I blipped Thompson's Mill for the first time, and later I documented the effects of the fire that led to the demolition and clearance of the site.

So we live in a city where many of the fine old mills and warehouses get lost to fire, while the ugliest building stands empty and as indestrucible as a nuclear reactor containment shell.
