Landed at 6.oo this morning to a cold, 2 degrees, and dark Heathrow. We must have been lucky as the other side of the M25 and then A405 was full lanes of stationary traffic!
Before I waffle on I want to say a really big 'thank you' to everyone for all your comments, favourites and stars while I have been away. I have been reading your blips but, somehow, despite not working, there seemed to be less hours in the day while in NZ. I will be keeping up now that I am back.
Journey wsa definitely one of two halves, for the first ten hour leg I felt really unwell after having an upset stomach in the morning, and feeling incredibly sick and achy on that plane. Started to feel a bit better at Singapore but not great, second leg of the journey was 13.5 hours and I improved throughout that flight, thankfully, maybe sleeping a bit helped.
Home maybe where the heart is but it certainly wasn't where the heat is when we arrived back. Feeling better now the heating has been off for the day and the fire is lit.
Car, well Geoff's car, which was caught by a flood on Christmas Eve, looks like it needs a new engine. The insurance company is taking a look tomorrow, for some reason they couldn't do anything while we were away! No doubt the story will continue.
Geoff has his mole removed at 9.00 tomorrow at Addenbrookes. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly.
Other than that is has been a quiet day :-)
