The monument to Sir Robert Peel by William Calder Marshall in Piccadilly Gardens, Manchester. When he was killed in a horse riding accident in Hyde Park in 1850 the committee set up to organise the memorial collected over £3,000 in four days. The female figure represents Manchester.
