Portland Bill Lighthouse, Portland, Dorset

Having been down at Poole for a family funeral we decided to extend our few days away and to explore the Jurassic Coast.

So far we haven't found any fossils on the beaches but took a trip across to the Isle of Portland and to the Portland Bill Lighthouse.

I liked the way the lighthouse was bathed in late afternoon winter sunshine which really highlighted the contrast between the blue of the sky and the white of the lighthouse and buildings.
