Maulds Meaburn moor
A pretty overcast day left me thinking of an indoor blip. Then we had a robin hopping about out hedge - it's full of berries and I thought that would be good. My 600mm lens gave a great close view, but the light levels meant a shutter speed of 1/30th even at 1000 ISO - too much head movement.
After lunch, I nipped out to take a look at this barn on Maulds Meaburn Moor, and have to admit, I rather liked the trees, dry-stone walls, and clouds above the barn. I positioned myself halfway up a slope, to make sure the ridge of the roof stayed clear of the dry stone wall in the background.
I started thinking of this as a mono, but actually preferred the colour version.
