Getting Hooked Up

Last night we were told the Electric Company would be digging up the road overnight to replace the faulty power cable...but we woke this morning to the chilly realisation we still don't have any power. Unfortunately they found the power cables to be below the current water table so the hole was filling with water as quick as they were digging it.

By mid morning they ran cables along the road, across our gardens and hooked us up to a mahoooosive generator. Finally late afternoon they abandoned the hole digging and left us with the generator...let's hope it doesn't run out of juice before morning!!!
