Zachary's art project was based on the work of Vic Muniz and because it involved a certain degree of mess - Zachary was very keen! Actually so was I, I love a good school art project to get involved in!!! Here is the original blip photo we used.
Anyway working with black and brown sesame seeds and poppy seeds, Zachary created something that from a distance really does capture - well him! Now ALL he has to do is get it on to the bus and to school in one piece...
Meanwhile Sienna's homework involved halving numbers which she seems to struggle with. All the other kids seem to just have just 'got' maths but she is proving the exception to the rule. We tried using jellybeans to count out 20 and then divide into equal piles to show halves - all good until I used the 'wrong' terminology by saying - "divide six into two even piles" which completely threw her because "half of six is three and three is not an even number - don't I know"!
Art homework is so much more fun!
