Production line

We went back to school this afternoon to make some dog blankets. In 4th Grade the kids do a big Iditarod project. Last year one of the mushers came to school after the race to share her experience with the kids.
As a way of giving back the school decided to make dog blankets. The blankets will be at each check point and help keep the dogs warm.
The kids had to measure and cut out their fleece. Then get a small white square and write a note to the dog/musher. The teachers then sewed the squares to the fleece.
As the kids follow the Iditarod there's a chance they might see their fleece on one of the dogs :)
