Paper airplane team building

Last day of conference. A motivational speech from a positivity psychologist in the am. Very good actually and a nice mix of science and comedy. Then another stint in the trade show broken up by lunch inbetween.

A final 2hr breakout session to reaffirm 2014 goals all rounded off by a paper airplane contest team building thingy. I had the idea of googling the world record holding design but was too complicated in the 15 min allocated to build it. Some other people had goes at other ones and I tried one that I had been making since a boy but all it did was do loop the loops and it was furthest distance. Overall a crap team effort.

Tonight was the gala awards dinner. Suited and booted we dined on fillet mignon and sea bass. Very tasty. Then awards for top dog in all the various categories. A lot of alpha male stuff. Def not me. Finished off with more booze and a live band.

All the cool people then went off to a hotel room for more drinks but I am past that now so headed for bed and packing ready for flight home tomorrow am. In my room was a hand written note from one of those high up in the company welcoming me on board - a nice touch.
