Wish you were here!

We have a pause between programmes and it is delightful to have this space and time to relax although there is a lot of computer and writing work to do now. We cycled into the town this morning for breakfast at a place that was more basic than my Dad's old garden shed. Idli and Samba, Vellapum and pea curry... all for under £1 .. with coffee of course.. which we always have to specify without sugar.. otherwise it comes like treacle!

Just been down to the resort for lunch now ... what a life ... and cycled back along the beach road. there are just a few signs of tourist life style taking over .. as with these umbrellas.. The locals stand on the beach fully clothed .. the Europeans given the chance lay on the beach half naked which the locals find shocking ... Here reminds me of the way that the Greek islands were years ago.. i remember being welcomed into locals homes and given egg and cheese for a snack and loukoumi .. and my boyfriend at the time being taken to one side to tell him to tell me not to wear short skirts ... oh that was such a long time ago .. it is still like that a bit here .. I wish it could remain as it is.. but of course it won't ..
