It had to end some time........

I've never been good with plants, which is why I have been amazed with this orchid plant. It was a gift when moved into our new home 16 months ago. I was pleasantly surprised on how not only did it thrive on my neglect but how it kept producing such beautiful blooms.

Then yesterday, helpful little me noticed that the stem was not coping with the weight of its own bounty. I thought I'd just attach it to it support a little higher up. It snapped; a defending noise. I stood helplessly looking at the barren broken stem one one side then at the other end of the broken stem covered in flowers. Stupid me. Why did I not just leave it alone....
