Craning his neck!
Down at the pier in the village this morning and saw this Cormorant. He was quite close and was drying himself off. Then he heard a noise behind him and I loved the way he craned his neck to look behind him. When he was satisfied what it was, he turned back to look in front of himself! It was as nothing would faze him. He was still standing there fifteen minutes later!
