She Loves Me!

I recently came across the Autograph Album my mother gave me for Christmas 1941 and couldn't resist reminiscing through it.

At school the members of staff usually just sign their names but Miss Satterthwaite, known to us as "Satty" our Biology Mistress, very kindly painted a little picture. Below it she wrote -

She do,
She don't,
Ah hopes she do!

I feel it is the best entry in the book - I love it.


It is only now I realise that it was painted on my birthday!
