House of Fraser, Buchanan Street

The Christmas lights have gone but the shops in the city centre look at their most inviting when it's raining cat and dogs outside and the lit interiors are reflected in the saturated paving stones. I deliberately walked from High Street to our best known pedestrianised shopping street, because I reckoned the light around 4pm would be about right to capture both inside and outside.

The two large posters of the face I think are stunning and their reflections bring a lovely touch of red to the pavings stones outside Glasgow's famous House of Fraser department store. Also, the two shoppers centre stage, buying their beauty products, add human interest to the sparkling shopping scene. The larger version packs a good punch!
