Rain

Well, we're back from California and we were so happy to be reunited with the kids, but also to hear about all the fun they had with Granny. We woke up to sunshine today, which allowed me to take A to watch her pal H's soccer game this morning.

However, just as we pulled back into the driveway, the downpour began! We've been staying cozy in the house, and watching the rain stream down the windows against a backdrop of gorgeous fall color.

We had a shopping bag full of apples picked at Aunt Mary's house last weekend that needed some attention, so we made a family project out of making homemade apple pie and applesauce. The house smells so good! Tonight we are headed to a friends' house for pizza and movie night on their big screen.
