A day out on the ranch
Today we left the city of Buenos Aries and headed out to the pampas which is huge and very , very flat. Traditionally there were no trees but eucalyptus trees have been planted round the ranches and these provide much needed shade on a day when the temperature hit 36 degrees. The Santa Susannah ranch was a typical gaucho ranch where they prepared the most amazing Parrillada or barbecue which consisted mainly of meat, chicken, pork and the biggest tenderest tastiest steaks I've ever known.
This was followed by displays of tango, traditional dancing complete with the marvellousbolas before the final rounding up of the horses.
Today was our last day in Argentina before we move on tomorrow to the Iguassu Falls, it will be a special day.
