Return to the North

Moeraki

Well today was another big day! Epic in fact because I've done 600km on the road today!
The weather was pretty average as I left north Canterbury and got worse the further south I headed.

I set off at 7.30 am and by 11 ish I was getting a bit pecking so stopped off at a marvelous cafe at the turn off to Waimate. Had their full breakfast - man it was good!

Then it was onwards and downwards. 4km out of Oamaru there had been a fairly major road accident so the road was closed and we were sent down a mid road at the side of the rail track. Didn't look good at all!

Got to Moeraki and stopped for a photo shoot and the. It was on to Bushey/ Palmerston to lay a stone at Blaze's cross. It tipped it down as I got out the car but it stopped as I lay the stone!!!
Told him that his mum still needed him and to keep an eye on her.

Then it was basically south and south and south oh and west!

Got here at 5.30! Long day. Furniture arrives tomorrow so it is a very lazy evening In a motel bed tonight
