The Road

I took the dogs over some forests just past Gwaelod y Garth today. I hadn't been there before, so followed the forestry track. They've been felling trees, and it had been raining heavily (I sank up to my knees in mud), so I can't say it was a pleasant walk. On a gloomy day, this scene as I crested the hill was all a bit post-apocalyptic and could've come straight from Cormac McCarthy's bleak book The Road. Luckily I wasn't attacked, or eaten, so that's nice.
