Boatkeeper's Cottage

This morning was unexpectedly free and the day was beautiful, so we took the chance to go to Cramond Village in the north of Edinburgh on the banks of the Forth. It is a beautiful little village with white cottages, a small harbour for small boats and the island which is accessible by causeway, dependent on the tides. This is cottage was lived in by the Boatkeeper. For many years he would ply passengers back and forth across the small stretch of water you can see. Now there is no boatkeeper. Coffee and cake, a bit more walking then back home.
