Pond Cleaning

Worked with conservation volunteers this morning trying to clean out the edges of this pond and surrounding area. The people wearing waders were able to get into the water but the level is too high just now for extensive work. I did a lot of grass and bramble cutting and raking. The men were having fun with cutting down small trees.
I must be one of the group now because they have given me aT shirt!
A swan and nearly adult cygnets were on the pond but soon moved away and didn't consider us a threat.
The threatened rain didn't come until we were packing our tools away.
