Lesabéndio

One of the illustrations from the first novel I'm reading for class this semester. Lesabéndio: An Asteroid Novel. It's pretty interesting. I do, however, take issue with the fact that, in this alien world where there is only one gender, the author (granted, he's writing in 1910) defaults to male--"he." On the other hand, I'm pretty glad I don't live on Pallas, so maybe I'll just let this one slide.
