The big ship sails on the ali-ali-o

A view from Gullane Bents looking across the Firth of Forth.
Having thought of the title, I wanted to know what the ali-ali-o was and discovered it refers to the Manchester Ship Canal! A place which was much loved by me as a kid!
I think the view from Gullane is better than industrial Lancashire.
