My mum's best friend died yesterday

In 1985 she was the headmistress's secretary at a local infant school

The headmistress knitted Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to raffle at the summer fete

Audrey asked her how much she thought she'd make...paid her that amount and gave them to my daughter as a second birthday present

we seem to have a missing apron on Snow White and "Number 6" is missing his scarf

but nearly 29 years on they are still loved
