Chasing Fireworks!

Its weekend...and its great!

This week seems to have been interminable with exams taking up most of the days, reports and assessments to follow. The children are relieved they're all over and so am I....and so is Albert especially!! He has much planned for the weekend in celebration..I don't know when he's ever going to have time to sleep! Just hope he makes it in 'bright eyed and bushy tailed' on Sunday morning ready for a new week.

As for me? Started the weekend in my favourite place.....down beside the creek after picking up GK from work and having a delicious meal to sustain us! Our intention was to watch, at least once, the Dubai Shopping Festival fireworks. They happen on the creek so we needed a good vantage point which we duly found amongst the working dhows and container trucks at the wharfage, (my yeterday blip!)

We had the quay all to ourselves and the display was magnificent but the firework blips were too bad to post so will try one another day! Shopping Festival ends on 2nd February so there's still time!

Suffice to say, the creek still looked beautiful with all the lights and the huddle of dinner cruise boats vying for their own firework spot, it would have been a shame not to blip it!!

Home now and preparing for a really relaxing weekend!
