Scots wot influenced the world

Crikey it's difficult to remember to take my blip every day. So here I am again at home without one!

Here are two real books (I usually read electronic ones - from the library not the evil Amazon). Got them from Le Chef. One's about Scottish plant collectors and botanists, the other about Thomas Glover the Scottish merchant based in Japan for 50 years in the 19th century. I've visited his house/museum in Nagasaki.

Now all I need is time to read them ... Given that I can't even manage to find time for a decent foto a day I'm not expecting to be finishing them soon.
