A new place for us! This place specialises in 'pintxos' from the Basque Country - little pieces of bread with various toppings - it really doesn't sound nearly as good in English! We saw it from across the street and crossed to have a look, as it was busy. The bar area was full, with local people perched in bar seats all the way along. We engaged with a well dressed couple, ages with us, well-kent in the place and from the area of Rioja, who have been coming here twice a week for 20 years and were perched at a high table near the door. 'We're leaving in 5 minutes’ he signalled. We continued in Castillian, stated our Scottish roots and he said, 'Scotland's very popular here at the moment'. Before we knew it we had a table, two glasses of house wine ordered for us, as well as two pintxos that they recommended we start with! I have a feeling we'll be back here.
