African memories.
I bought this tapestry in a village called Oodi in Botswana in 1999 when I was working in the country. Oodi weavers is a women's co-operative who produce the most beautiful woven wall hangings and other tapestries which depict scenes of traditional village life or countryside vistas. Although I've had it for 15 years the colours haven't faded and when I look at it it takes me back to the day I travelled out to the village to buy it
