365 Grateful day 15

Thursday is Oxfam day, I do my weekly stint in the Pocklington branch from 1 to 5 pm. We are very grateful to all the lovely people who give so generously.
I am always grateful to the ladies who buy these magazines and then give them to us to sell for 39p each... Bargain !

Very sad moment today when Mike came in ( he is husband of one of the Wednesday volunteers) the horror that is Alzheimer's has taken over, his confusion and frustration at not bring able to say or even think of the words he wanted to use was very upsetting.

I've known Mike for nigh on 38 years, he was landlord of the Carpenters Arms, it was a vibrant, busy pub then... How time changes everything, not all for the better.
