I travel a lot with work. The long drives to London and back were superseded by plane flights a year ago, but any client visits closer to home than that are almost always by car.

This sign is just under 100 miles from our house, but I always feel when I pass it that I'm almost home.

On the M74, the 3 lanes of motorway are fairly empty of traffic, especially compared to the wacky racers down south where we used to live. The few drivers who are travelling on it appear less stressed, less in a hurry, and more courteous/friendly. The drive has the added bonus of great scenery as well.

Not a bad way at all to end a long car journey.
