Urban monoliths

The blue and yellow flats so recognised for anyone in this area stand like a pair of standing stones against the late afternoon sun.

I realised rather late that it was our finance department's week for providing cakes for everybody at work. Normally I would bake some scones or a banana loaf or something but due to me doing this diet I didn't feel inclined to do so.
So I nipped over to Greggs at Ocean Terminal and got a selection of gooey doughnuts for my contribution.

We had a drama meeting tonight and we read The Steamie, a wonderful Scottish play about a group of women and their escapades and conversations on New Year's Eve at their local wash house. It's all written in broad Glaswegian so is a joy to read once you get your tongue around the dialect.
It realy would be a great play to do if we can get enough strong female actresses keen to do it as it's a biggie to learn and put on. Lets see.
