Praying a blessing

As part of our prayer and worship time today we wrote the names of people within or attached to the church on slips of paper. We added a few blanks too for those still to make links with us. And then we gathered round and prayed a blessing on them.

We moved them together from their initial 'spread out' positions on the table too, signifying that we are one body with links to each other.

Amongst others this was the blessing we used.
I bless you in the name of Jesus that the fullness of his peace may flood your heart and mind, sinking deeply into every part of your being and life. I bless you that your body may be strengthened and healed so that you are free to walk in the joy of the Lord.
