Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Looking South

This is not very exciting. I am tired--have graded lots of papers this weekend.

Honestly thought I had captured a TV photo of Jenson Button, the Englishman who won the Formula 1 World Champion title today . . . lots of excitement for Mr. Fun about that (but the photo was crummy). I graded papers while he watched the race.

So this view is all I have to offer -- at 4:15 this afternoon I took a drive on Hamner Avenue south from 2nd Street toward 1st Street (that's for Deb, who will wonder about the exact location). Had I turned left and driven to 3rd Street, I'd be at the campus
where I teach. This is in the city of Norco, which stands for North Corona. Behind me is Mt. Baldy (see it here).

Without this photo as proof, many of my friends would not believe how few cars were on the street. Our friends who have moved away from here often tell us they wouldn't move back because of the traffic. Well, they need to take another look.

So, that's my less than stellar blip. I'm looking forward to a breakfast date with Mr. Fun in the morning (at the ocean hopefully), so maybe tomorrow's post will be better.

And yesterday's vehicle--several asked--was a Chrysler Plymouth . I drive a Chrysler, but nothing like that beauty.

Good night from a very tired blipper.
