Walking with Lapwing

Walking back home after work, I was lucky to find a Southern Lapwing walking. They have an elegant walking, although they fly reasonably well. If you approach closer than 10 m (30 ft) they start to call loud "keek... keek". During early Spring, female takes care of the eggs in the ground, together with the male and one extra "guard". During those times, if you approach closer than 15 m (50 ft), male or guard will fly against you, trying to scare you, better keep a safety distance...
