In't nature brilliant?

I know it's my own photo and it's probably not cool to say this, but I love this photo. I don't think it's a matter of my photography skills, I just think that nature is incredible and red roses are fast becoming an obsession.

The silky petals.

The myriad of different tones, depending on where the light hits.

The gentle scent that tickles my nostrils.

Softness and prickles. A juxtaposition.

Beauty.

Perfection.

I didn't used to like roses or gold. Now I realise that I probably did all the time. It's just that now I'm letting myself.

Potential still lurking. Almost scared in case it happens. Almost as scared as I am in case it doesn't!
