beach creatures

It was a cold night but a bright mild morning full of birdsong.
It went on to be a mostly sunny day and we worked in the garden. I'm putting some of the weedier areas that we never seem to get to under mypex (weed suppressing mat).
Also went on with some of the winter pruning. We're in a hurry to finish that as the buds are swelling already on many things.

I got to Long Strand this evening but by then it had clouded over and the light was very grey and nondescript, a good time for having a play with filters.
There were swathes of seaweed stalks standing upright in the sand like strange creatures.
