St Josephs
Spent the day on a child protection course in Limerick. It was heavy going and we were all exhausted by the end. The venue was St Josephs Psychiatric hospital, not built for the faint hearted. Grey, imposing and with high windows it felt like a prison inside. 20 years ago there were 1100 patients, now there are 7.
This is the hospital church out the back and it too felt bleak and unwelcoming, it was locked, I thought a few of the 1093 discharged patients might still be inside!
I'm looking for something a little more easy going in my day tomorrow.
