Changing Light
On our weekly shopping trip to Campbeltown today the conversation turned to the changing seasons. The air was still and although only 5 degrees it felt much warmer. We had noticed signs of Spring in the garden with lots of green shoots from bulbs and buds appearing in many of the shrubs.
With glimpses of the sun and patches of blue sky I even suggested we might have broken the back of Winter. However, the dire weather of last March remains etched in our memories and such thoughts were quickly dismissed.
On the return journey there was a lovely mellow light on the Kilbrannan Sound and lots of puffy white clouds over Arran. Maybe the grey days of Winter are indeed giving up their hold on us and Spring is closer than we think!
