In amongst everything else today (the work, the swimming, the domestic 'stuff', etc) I heard a few cracking tunes as well - from a bit of forthcoming brutalish techno to a track off of someone's first album for 18 years that was actually pretty excellent.

But the finest thing I heard today was a release that accompanied me on my headphones on my to-ings and fro-ings. As I said somewhere else today, this opening track is like a heavily pitched-down Stereolab with Grouper on vocals. All wrapped up in a heavily-spangled dub cocoon. Or maybe that's just what it sounds like to me...
