Clickychick "Fishing"!

Day two of our first trip on "Solace" for 2013.

On my first ever canal holiday about 45 years ago, I lost a windlass (lock handle) at one of the first locks I operated. I wasn't careful and the ratchet slipped and the windlass flew gracefully into the throat of the lock. On a recent holiday we met a boat who had dropped the windlass while getting off the boat.

This got me thinking a large powerful magnet would be a good idea, the idea was given more force after we met a man with a handful of piling clips (used to tie the boat up to metal piling which is used to strengthen the bank in some sections. he had fished out with his magnet.

The shot shows clickychick taking advantage of a few minutes "lull in proceedings" and doing a bit of"metal fishing" before we left our overnight moorings near Stone in Staffordshire. On this occasion she caught nothing.

Back blipped into the period when I was a guest my blipping started 17.12.13
