Cake!

So here it is. Straight from the Great British Bake Off Showstoppers book. Made for my son Iain's 23rd birthday.
So what's the verdict?
Mary Berry would say I made a good attempt and that it tasted nice.
Paul Hollywood would say the 'feathering' was OK for a first attempt, but the cake was a wee bit dry.
Do I care?
The cake was made with love and my family loved it. Job done!
