Agave

There are so many names and varieties of this type of agave, a fiber yielding plant native to Mexico and the American Southwest. It is also called penca and pita, like the flat bread. This one is in the neighborhood. I captured it with the last bright rays of light. The texture and the color are so pretty but the thorns require distance!
