Tui a'Courting

We (waipushrink, tsuken, and family) were setting off for the beach, this morning, when two flirting tui dove and wove behind us, across the lawn and up into the trees. Fortunately I had my camera with me, though not my telephoto lens.

A minor delay later and off we set for a hot, sunny day at Scott's Landing. My first trip to the beach this summer, and it was a good day for it. A swim, a picnic and a walk around the wee island (reachable by a sand spit when the tide is out), combined for a lovely, full, day.
