Bird of Paradise

Katey very kindly gave me one of her amazing flowers that grow in her garden, when I got home I had to make tea so left them in a vase on the bench.
I then had to think of a way to photograph this beauty with a twist, suddenly the light changed outside from dull to the setting sun so I hunted around for a place to catch the light, in our bedroom I found the light coming through the wooden blinds perfect
! I've used my 50mm and a shallow dof.
