Chickin' it out

Today we had another great day here in Auckland - we started with brunch at a new (to us) restaurant area in Ponsonby, with an incorporated market and loads of eateries. It was really awesome!

Then we set off to see Gina's Uncle, 4Sam3388, who introduced me to blip when I was last here just before I started last year. We were lucky that the extended family was also there so we had a great (if very quick!) catch up. We're looking forward to a bit more time with them in March when we're back!

Then we went to a family farmyard for Miles to have a look at some animals. We were wondering whether he was a bit young, but he absolutely loved it, and his fascination with the chickens just reinforced our desire to have them when we get into our own place! He also beamed the entire time he was having a pony ride, although I don't think that a pony's in order (I'm hoping to avoid that issue...).

This chick was really interested in the grasses... so much that the rest of the famliy had wandered off without him noticing!
